Colleges Scrapping Standardized Tests

Common Core, billed as a set of standards to make your student “college ready”, need not apply at Wesleyan, Temple and others.

The College Board (ACT/SAT), having chosen to align their testing with the Common Core State Standards, will not see their testing as a deciding factor at at least 1 in 5 non-profit schools.

“A new wave of colleges including Wesleyan University, Bryn Mawr College and Temple University are scrapping standardized tests as an admissions requirement, saying there are better ways to evaluate applicants and expand diversity.”  Read more…
